Minutes of the MS Teams meeting of Llanwrda Community Council held at 7.00 o’clock on Wednesday 18th October, 2023.

Minutes were accepted as correct.

4. Matters arising from the minutes:
9 (a) Play Area
An invoice had finally been received from Wicksteed. A request had been received from Cornwallis regarding a donation towards cutting the Community Field, but as we have paid for cutting around the play equipment, hedges, etc. any donations will be discussed in the next financial year. Councillor M. Goddard-Pepperzak had inspected the play equipment.
9 (e) Dog fouling – school lane
No further complaints received.
9 (i) A40 – Llanwrda
The reply from the Highways Team Leader was again discussed, and it was agreed that the speed limit should have been reduced.
9 (k) Bute Energy
No further updates.
9 (a1) Christmas Tree event – Llanwrda
The lighting of the Christmas Tree would be held on 6th December, 2023 at 6.00 o’clock. A request was made for donations of bottles of Sherry. The Christmas Tree has been ordered from Glantowy Farm and Councillor M. Goddard-Pepperzak agreed to arrange the delivery date.

The following requests had been received:
Cylch Blaenau Tywi – this was discussed and agreed to give a donation of £50.00
Cornwallis – this was discussed and it was agreed to wait until the next financial year, as we had already paid this year for cutting the grass around the play equipment, hedges, etc.
Wales Air Ambulance – last donation was given January 2023
Audit 2022/2023
Completion not received from the Audit Office.
(a) Budget 2023/2024
To be discussed at the November meeting. Budget updates to be sent to everyone.
(b) Signing of quarterly financial statements and bank statements
These to be sent to Councillor M. Goddard-Pepperzak by the November meeting

(d) Broken Street Light Station Road, Llanwrda
The Clerk to arrange for Councillor M. Goddard-Pepperzak to have a copy of the list of lamps with numbers, these can then be reported directly.
