Minutes of the meeting of Llanwrda Community Council held via MS Teams on Wednesday at 7.00 p.m. on 16th July, 2025

9 (a)    Play Area

Councillor M. Goddard-Pepperzak reported that there were no issues with the Play Area.

9 (e)    Dog Fouling

Unfortunately, dog fouling was an on going issue in the village, people were taking their dogs for a walk early in the morning, Councillor R. Jones stated that he was out and about early due to work and would monitor the bus stop area between 7.00 and 7.30 in the morning.

9 (k)    Bute Energy/Green GEN Cymru

No updates to report.

Wind Turbines

County Councillor A. Davies reported that Wind Turbines were going to be an issue, with Wind Turbines being placed along the boundary of Ceredigion, some residents in Llanwrda have already received information.  It was important that everyone attends consultation meetings.  The Wind Turbines will affect everyone.

9 (a7) Village Speed Limit

SWTRA had a new system called “operation SNAP” where everyone was encouraged to send in photos of an issues regarding speeding.

9 (21)  Beer Festival

A meeting was being held next Tuesday evening.

9 (23)  Junction A40

This had been reported to SWTRA.

5.2 (b) Report from Cornwallis Trust Liaison

Absent from meeting.  There was a shortfall of funds for carrying out work required.

Nothing to report.

9 (24)  Code of Conduct training

Councillor S. Goddard had completed the training.

9 (25)  Roman Road (Llansadwrn to Llanwrda)

A lengthy discussion followed regarding the bad state of the road and it was finally agreed to pursue the application for Satnav signs to be placed at the top and bottom of the road.  It was important that this road be kept open.

9 (26)  Banc y Nos layby

Chippings had been tipped in layby blocking access to four properties from the Llandovery entrance.
