Minutes of the meeting of Llanwrda Community Council held at the Village Hall, Llanwrda on Wednesday 18th June, 2025 following the Annual General Meeting.

- Matters arising from the minutes:
9 (a) Play Area
Councillor M. Goddard-Pepperzak reported that there were no issues with the Play Area.
9 (e) Dog Fouling
As previously reported, dog fouling was an on going issue in the village. Members were reminded to take photographs if possible and send to Carmarthenshire County Council.
9 (k) Bute Energy/Green GEN Cymru
County Councillor A. Davies had attended various meetings and reported that plans for a sub-station at Llandyfaelog were being discussed and also a Solar Farm.
9 (a7) Village Speed Limit
An email had been received from Mr T. Birdwood regarding the speed of vehicles around the village. This was discussed at length, the authority aren’t supportive of Speed Bumps, the speed awareness van does visit the village. No further speed signs/flashing lights could be put in place are there are rules regarding the space between placing flashing speed lights. Issues should be reported to Carmarthenshire County Council direct or to the Police, PCSO does visit the village, possibly he could be approached for assistance.

5.2 (b) Report from Cornwallis Trust Liaison
There was a shortfall in the amount of Funds required. Trees in the area protected, feasibility studies were ongoing.

Councillor S. Goddard was appointed as the police liaison representative.

The lane was in need of clearing.
9 (23) Junction A40
The junction was discussed and a letter to be sent to SWTRA asking for an extra light, possibly Solar.
