Minutes of the meeting of Llanwrda Community Council held via MS Teams on Wednesday 16th February, 2022

4. Matters arising from the minutes:
9 (a) Play Area
Arrangements had been made for cleaning the Play Equipment, there was also work required to pressure wash the tarmac area. An email had been received from Lyn Rowlands, one of the Cornwallis Trustees enquiring if they were to continue cutting the grass around the play equipment and power washing as previous. It was discussed and agreed to enquire as to whoever is carrying out the work could the Community Council please have a copy of their Public Liability just in case something happens when he/they are carrying out the work. Huw Gwynne Fencing, who are cleaning the play area equipment required access to water and electricity, the Clerk to contact Cornwallis. Also, remind the officials that we have not received an audited copy of their Balance Sheet. The Play Area inspection file continues to be with Councillor M. Carroll.
9 (2) Public Footpaths
No work had been carried out trashing the public footpaths. An email had been received from Caroline Ferguson PROW office requesting Community Councils to prioritise the Public Footpaths. This would be discussed at the next meeting and assist in deciding which footpaths needed trashing.
9 (ii) Village Speed limit/Community Speed Watch Group
Nothing to report from the Community Speed Watch Group. It was agreed to possibly try an arrange a site meeting with Mr M. Jacob, Carmarthenshire County Council, to discuss the speeding issues within the village.
Green spaces (Lesley Griffiths A.M.)
The Clerk had contacted the office of Lesley Griffiths and was advised that the person to contact was Lee Waters. An email had been sent to his office with a promise of a reply within 3 weeks.
9 (b) Web site
It was discussed and agreed that this be removed from the website.
9 (iii) Street light out of order
The work had been carried out.
9 (iv) Flashing Speed Sign
The sign had not been serviced, the Clerk to contact Carmarthenshire County Council.
9 (viii) Dog fouling in the Village
This was continuing to be an on going issue, especially along the road from the Post Office to the Church and also School Lane. Signs were required to place on the lamp posts, the possibility of inviting the dog warden patrol was also discussed. The Clerk to contact Mr Michael Roberts, Local Environment Quality Policy Officer, for advice.
