The minutes were accepted as a true and accurate record.

4. Matters Arising from the Minutes

9(a) Play Area
Nothing to report.

9(e) Dog Fouling
Dog fouling had been found in the Play Area. As it is an open area, any unsupervised dog can enter.

9(k) Green GEN Cymru
An email had been received explaining the proposed changes to the Tywi Usk development. The proposal would increase the distance of the planned connection from Llanwrda, Llandovery and Court Henri.

9(b) Village Speed Limit / Highways
A speed camera had been in place and two cars had been recorded exceeding the speed limit.

9(b) Roman Road
A response had been received from Carmarthenshire County Council stating that they were fully committed to work on current projects and that it was a particularly busy period for the Council.

9(28) Benches / Picnic Tables for the Village
The Community Council had been successful in its grant application to the Williams Brownhill CIO, receiving £1,500.00. The cheque should be received within a few weeks. In the meantime, the Clerk will send information to everyone regarding the recycling company’s email address and website.

9. Public Rights of Way (PRoW) Footpath
Mr Jason Lawday apologised that no further information had been received regarding the walking group. He was awaiting a response from the Sustainable Transport Team and had forwarded the Council’s email for consideration by Traffic Wales.

5. Reports
5.1 Report from the County Councillor

a) No recent meeting had been held due to the Elections.
b) The deadline for voter registration was the 20th.
c) Clock Tower – 6 turbines.

5.2 Report from the Cornwallis Liaison Representative

No updates received.

5.3 Report from the Police Liaison Representative

There had been neighbourhood issues in Brodawel.

(a) Payments

An application had been received from the Llangollen Eisteddfod.

Already agreed when preparing the precept.

(c) Signing of Quarterly Financial Statements and Bank Statements

To be signed at the next meeting.

8. Public Question Time

No members of the public were present.

9. Urgent Business

9(31) Closure of Llanwrda Church
This was followed by a lengthy discussion regarding the future of Llanwrda Church. The matter was also discussed under correspondence.

10. Date of Next Meeting

The next meeting will be held at 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, via MS Teams. The Clerk will circulate the joining link at 6.55 p.m.

The Annual General Meeting will be held first, followed by the regular monthly meeting.
