CYNGOR CYMUNED LLANWRDA COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Minutes of the meeting of Llanwrda Community Council held at the Village Hall, Llanwrda on Wednesday 19th June, 2024.

The chairman welcomed Councillor B. Auld as a member of the Community Council.

2. Minutes of the meeting held 15th May, 2024
Minutes were accepted as correct.

3. Declarations of Interest

4. Matters arising from the minutes:

9 (a) Play Area
The Clerk had prepared an inspection form for the Play Equipment.

9 (e) Dog Fouling – school lane
Dog Fouling by the bus stop had been reported to Carmarthenshire County Council.

9 (k) Bute Energy/Green Gen Cymru
A very successful meeting organised by the Llandovery Pylon Grouphad been held to give information regarding the letters that had been sent to landowners, everyone had learnt a lot from the information received. Following a meeting at the Senedd, Labour had turned down the vote regarding underground cables.

9 (a4) Co-option of Members
An email had been received from Mr Simon Goddard stating that the was interested in becoming a member of the Community Council. His request was discussed and unanimously agreed to co-opt as a member.

9 (a7) Village Speed Limits
The Clerk had written to the Welsh Government regarding traffic calming measures in the village.

9 (a8) Pot holes/Fly tipping
Issues in the village were being reported on line direct to Carmarthenshire County Council.

5.2 (d) Report from Cornwallis Trust Liaison
Councillor B. Auld was a member of the Cornwallis Trust and was asked if she would report back to the Community Council with any updates. This was agreed.

5.3 (b) Report from Police Liaison
It was agreed to invite the PCSO to our next meeting.

A report had been sent to the IRP office.

The audit had been completed and sent to the Wales Audit Office.

Councillor B. Auld reported that there would be a book sale in the village over the week-end.
